One Little Word Designing Women

What do you get when you have a group of women, scrapbook supplies and some birthday cupcakes all at the same table?

LOTS of fun of course!!

A group of us gets together on most Wednesday evenings. We laugh, share our lives, pray for each other, laugh, eat, drink tea, laugh, and we celebrate life and second chances.

Happy Birthday Crystal!
Last Wednesday we got together to celebrate Crystal's birthday, and to make a visual display of our OLW.
We are all so different in our approach to creating.

We are all so intense. We are creating!

This is about my OLW!

Our OLWs

Think about the power these words
will have this year! When our group
will LOVE, CREATE, DISCOVER,
 LISTEN and LOVE while being
INTERDEPENDENT and BEAUTIFUL. And knowing that we can have ENDURANCE no matter what because God loves us and helps us in all that we need to and want to do. This will be an extraordinary year! I am so glad I get to share it with these amazing women!

Have you thought about  making an OLW bookmark??

    1. When you are together with others, you discover ideas you didn't think you would ever have!

  3. I absolutely love this idea. I'm so glad that you have a group like this. Maybe my Bible study group will be up for something similar. Thanks for the idea. xo

  4. There is nothing like the experience of sharing face-to-face. Sure, I'm all hooked in with communities everywhere in the cybersphere but just one hour with my mighty book club just can't be outsourced, right?

    1. There are the personal connections that virtual connections can't always compete with.

    1. I like creating them simply in power point and then printing and laminating. If I use them in pics, I save them as jpegs so I can manipulate them later on. Have fun!

  7. Cool - the event and the result. Your left discover list sounds like summer (my wishful thinking probably) and the rest is filled with so much creativity. I like the "discover writer's soul." Where will you hang your OLW art?

    1. I am sure that the cold and snow had something to do about wanting to discover warm places:) Right now it is in the kitchen where I can see it many times a day!

    1. Words have such power. I am still thinking about the business cards with special words in them that you wrote about on your blog.

  11. Ooh, what a special time and what neat art, Jaana! Now, when you see your creations, you'll think not only of your OLW but of each other!

I've been meaning to make a visual for my OLW each year, and I've never done it... maybe this is the year! :-)

    1. Jennifer, you must make a "spark" display! And you are right, when I look at my OLW visual, I remember where and how I made it. Its creation is connected with people!

    1. I am not sure about discovering a new blog. Maybe I will be reading a post one day and someone (perhaps you) will reference another blog/post or a tweet will pop up.....I will keep you posted!
