Celebration Time is Here
Come join Ruth Ayres to celebrate your week. Share your post link at her website, and meet others who love celebrating!
This Saturday I celebrate:
ONE
A package that arrived from Finland yesterday. Finnish chocolate and new winter gloves. I hope to save the gloves for next winter, but otherwise, the timing of the package was a perfect ending for a busy week.
TWO
A wonderful pampering night for all the single moms that came to our Mom's Night Out at church
THREE
Great conversations at parent teacher conferences. I want to celebrate all the parents that came even though they did not have a car and had to find transportation with friends.
FOUR
Wonderful lunch with my sister-in-law Cindy! It was great to catch up in a relaxed atmosphere. Thanks to half day at school on Friday.
FIVE
These celebration Saturdays! I love looking back on my week and starting my weekend on a positive note! Thank you Ruth!

Ah-h, the Finnish chocolate! Happy you had a good week, Jaana-me, too, but busy. I don't do conferences any more, but we've had them the past two days. I know the core teachers are very tired tonight. Nice to hear about your mom's night out, too! Have a great rest of the weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda! It has been a restful Saturday!
DeleteI love the idea of stopping to celebrate your week - an excellent way to be grateful. As you stated, starting the week by looking back on the celebrations puts you in the right frame of mind. A great ritual to develop, one I will be looking in to.
ReplyDeleteCome join us! Celebrating is good for your soul!
DeleteMy topic today, without going to her site is Celebrate Me. So maybe I will slip over to her site today. Thanks for that reminder!
ReplyDeleteYour post is wonderful!
DeleteMore chocolate! We will have conferences next Friday. I too love Saturday Celebrations. They bring sunshine.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, celebrations bring sunshine even when I can't see it outside!
DeleteSaturday celebrations always make me smile! I love yours!! Your Friday, half-day, sounds heavenly! THREE weeks til my spring break...it's late this year. Have a great Saturday. Enjoy your weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteMy spring break will be the week before yours! I can't wait.
DeleteI too like the idea of reflecting on the week. You mix of chocolate and parent teacher conferences was pretty divine. We sure need one to keep up the other.
ReplyDeleteChocolate always makes everything feel better!
DeleteIt is so important to take time to celebrate your week :D It sounds like it was a great one.
ReplyDeleteBusy but good!
DeleteWhat a wonderful week! Isn't the celebrate this week just the perfect set up for yet another great week!
ReplyDeleteI love the celebrations!
DeleteA great week for sure! Looking for joy changes the mindset for the week past and future.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right Elsie!
DeleteLove your celebration! Yes, I hope you don't use those gloves, but do enjoy the chocolate!
ReplyDeleteI am in agreement with you!
DeleteWhat a lovely tradition for setting up a week - like the cycle you've set up!
ReplyDeleteCome join us at Ruth blog!
DeleteJaana,
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are celebrating these joys with us! The chocolate sounds awesome...I wouldn't put away the gloves yet, I heard we might get snow again mid-week? Maybe you'll get to break them in!
Little snow is okay! I have seen the hope of spring!
DeleteYou definitely had a week worth celebrating. Put the gloves away. After all, if the gloves aren't out it wouldn't dare get cold, would it?
ReplyDeleteI like your thinking about the gloves!
DeleteGreat celebrations. Chocolate, pampering, parents', commitment, family connections plus food, and this! You've hit it all!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good week!
DeleteWhat fun, Jaana! I always enjoy conferences as well, even though they make for a long day. It's just wonderful to build relationships with families! :-)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you!
DeleteFinnish chocolate?! Yum!
ReplyDeleteWeekend dessert!
DeleteWhat better way to celebrate than with chocolate! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat week for you! Starts with chocolate and ends with lunch - that is my kind of week!
ReplyDeleteI hope your was great relaxing!
DeleteOkay, next Saturday I have to remember to do the celebrations--love this as an idea. A night out for single moms is a lovely thing to give them all. And, I think that we're in for another cold blast--I think that you should crack out those gloves, Jaana!
ReplyDeleteYes, come join the celebrations! It is a great start for your weekend!
DeleteA week that involves any kind of chocolate is worth celebrating! I enjoy these celebratory posts as well- any way to spread the happy! Have a great week!
