It's funny ins't it how the instrument you use to write/draw with matters so. Once I find a en I like I hold on to it. For me it's also about the flow of ink.
ReplyDeletePens, it takes time to find just the right one.
ReplyDeleteYes, markers, pens and even pencils are my tools. I love pencils the most, however. There is something so special about the feel of the lead on the paper. I love the way it works down to a blunt edge before you sharpen anew. Those are my tools of choice. Dixon- Ticonderoga's best :)
ReplyDeleteNot for me! I'm left-handed and the pen, pencil, whatever color was always my enemy but the keyboard, LOVES ME!!!!

I've fallen in love with Uniball pens. The ink flows smoothly, and the pen fits nicely in my hand. It matters!
ReplyDeleteOur literacy coach has a pencil pouch filled with different writing instruments. I have become fascinated with the many choices that she gives herself. I am thinking that little things like that would add pleasure to my day. I think I need to invest some $ in some tools that will brighten my day.
ReplyDeleteI think we all have our own favorite writing implement. Mine, when not using the laptop, is just a plain old
ReplyDeleteBic click pencil. I can erase, doodle, press harder for emphasis, etc.
Do you think that pen preference is common to all humans, not just teachers and writers? Thanks...
ReplyDeleteOh, I love poems about pens - the old fashioned me just loves the way a pen can speak for our writing selves in a way the laptop can't.
ReplyDeleteI knew this poem was about pens right away! I love pens.
ReplyDeleteAnd this was how I made it across the Canadian border in the middle of the night...a passel of pens and pencils and the guard identified me as a teacher..."you may pass".
ReplyDeleteI see the Stabilio pens!!! LOVE those!!! This poem is perfection!! I love each and every word!!!
ReplyDeleteI tend to not get too attached to my writing instruments because I have a nasty habit of just leaving them in random places. For me the most important qualification for a writing tool is that I can write with it and that I have plenty of backups for when I lose it!

I prefer to have pens/mechanical pencils with the texture rubber where you hold it. Writing utensils make a difference.
ReplyDeleteI've never really had to have certain pencils and pens for writing - but for art have to have certain brushes, or inks or pens. Like your choices.
